Police continue to seek public's assistance identifying suspect following second convenience store robbery

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance locating a male suspect following two convenience store robberies in south Edmonton.

On Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, the EPS issued a media release regarding an armed robbery in the Greenfield neighbourhood that took place on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.

Since then, police believe the same suspect is also responsible for robbing a convenience store in the area of 17 Street and Millwoods Rd. on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. At approximately 5:46 a.m. that day, a male wearing a medical mask entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded cigarettes and cash from the clerk. The suspect then jumped behind the counter and filled a garbage bag with cigarettes, before fleeing west into a nearby residential area.

The suspect continues to be described as a 16 to 20-year-old male with long, curly black hair who is approximately 5’9 with a fit build.

During the most recent robbery, the suspect was observed wearing a black jacket, black pants and black shoes. He also wore a white medical mask and black gloves. The suspect’s weapon was described as a black or dark grey handgun with paint chips and scratches on its frame.

Assist to Identify: Robbery Suspect

Police are now asking residents in the Pollard Meadows, Crawford Plains and Daly Grove neighbourhoods to check their dashcam and security camera footage for any suspicious activity on Friday Nov. 29, 2024, between 4:45 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
