The Edmonton Police Service is releasing a composite sketch to help identify a suspect in an alleged attempted sexual assault that occurred in Mill Creek Ravine on July 07, 2015.
The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid to late 20s, approximately 5’10”, with a thin build, a goatee and short hair. He was wearing a light-coloured, long sleeve shirt and may have been wearing glasses.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2015, police responded to a call of an attempted sexual assault at approximately 5 p.m. in Mill Creek Ravine, near 76 Avenue and 95 Street. It is reported that a 26-year-old female was walking in the river valley when she was allegedly approached from behind by a male, grabbed and forced into the treeline.
It is reported the male suspect was holding a knife and attempted to sexually assault the woman. She screamed for help and an individual in the area approached to offer assistance. Police believe the suspect then fled northbound into the ravine.
