Officers were called to 106 Avenue, just west of 96 Street, at approximately 12:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
An injured male with obvious signs of trauma was found bleeding on the ground. Police attempted CPR on the man, but he was declared deceased at the scene.
It is reported six to seven people were seen fleeing the area at the time of the incident.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner confirmed that Robert died as a result of blunt force trauma.
Up to $40,000 reward for information.
