Arson

On Thursday, Apr. 11, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Downtown Branch patrol officers responded to assist EFRS on the report of a male suspect in the area of 119 Street and 104 Avenue that was setting garbage cans on fire. Officers caught the suspect after a foot pursuit that spanned several blocks, and he was taken into custody without incident. An adult male is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident.

Possession of a weapon (firearm)

On Sunday, Apr. 14, 2024, at approximately 7:00p.m., Northeast Branch patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a rental vehicle in the area of 65 Street and 120 Avenue. It was determined that the driver of the vehicle had outstanding warrants, and search of the vehicle subsequent to arrest revealed a loaded sawed-off shotgun.  An adult male is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident.
