Break and enter

On Tuesday, Apr. 30, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., West Branch patrol officers responded to the report of a residential break and enter in the area of 99 Avenue and 146 Street. Upon arrival officers located a male suspect walking away from an open overhead garage door. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Many belongings from the interior of the residence were located hidden outside in various spaces and were reunited with the homeowner. A 43-year-old male is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident.

Weapons complaint

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, at approximately 1:40 p.m., West Branch patrol officers responded to the report of a male suspect with a gun at a tattoo shop in West Edmonton Mall. Upon arrival, officers formed up a team and responded to the tattoo shop and located the male with what appeared to be a handgun in his waistband. The male was taken into custody and the handgun was determined to be an airsoft. A 39-year-old male is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident.
