Impaired driving

On Oct. 30, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. police responded to a hit-and-run collision in the area of 117 Avenue and 97 Street. It was reported to police that a black Mercedes had collided with multiple vehicles and the driver then fled the scene on foot. Witnesses helped police apprehend the suspect, who officers later confirmed was impaired. One person was transported to hospital with injuries following the collisions. Charges are currently pending against the driver.

Robbery

On Oct. 31, 2024, at 3:48 p.m. police responded to the Millwoods LRT platform for a robbery. It was reported to police that two male youths were targeting random people, assaulting them and stealing their property. One female attended hospital for injuries following an assault. Police arrived and took both males into custody without incident. The stolen personal property was found on their person and charges are pending.

Robbery

On Nov. 4, 2024, at 6:40 p.m. police responded to a robbery at a business in the area of 132 Avenue and 132 Street. It was reported to police that a female entered the business, selected an item and then, unprovoked, produced and pointed a firearm at the front counter employee. The woman then took her item and fled the store. Officers located the woman in the area and took her into custody. Search incident to arrest, police located the stolen item and a fake handgun. Charges are pending.
