Police lay charges, issue warrants in 2023 homicide

The Edmonton Police Service has laid charges and issued warrants in relation to the April 2023 homicide of a 35-year-old male.

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, Downtown Branch officers responded to the report of a critically injured male in the lobby of an apartment building in the area of 97 Street and 109 Avenue. Upon arrival, police and EMS located Gabriel Dumont, 35, deceased.

On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, the Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Dumont and determined his cause of death to be a gunshot injury and the manner of death to be homicide.

Homicide Section has since charged Dustin Matthew Couterielle-Hilton, 33, Percy William Stanley Littlechild, 31, and Jordan Lee Travis Roasting, 34, with first-degree murder in relation to Dumont’s death. Courterielle-Hilton and Littlechild are currently incarcerated in relation to unrelated charges.

In addition, warrants have been issued Joshua Adam Raymond, 31, who is also wanted on charges of first-degree murder.
