Police investigate fatal collision overnight

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist that occurred late last night.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at approximately 10:58 p.m., a 2005 Toyota Sienna, operated by a 42-year-old male, was westbound on Connors Road at 90 Street. At the same time a 2009 Suzuki GSXR750, operated by a 25-year-old male, was eastbound on Connors Road at a high rate of speed, having passed several vehicles. The Toyota turned left at 90 Street and was struck by the motorcycle on the passenger side. EMS responded however the motorcycle operator succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the Toyota was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) continues to investigate.
