Police seek public’s assistance identifying suspect involved in armed robbery

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance locating a suspect who robbed a retail store earlier this year in northwest Edmonton.

On Thursday, July 5, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., a male suspect entered a retail store in the area of 137 Avenue and 123a Street. The suspect reportedly produced a handgun from his duffle bag and demanded cash from the register before fleeing on foot. No store employees or customers were injured.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous man who stands 5’8” with an average build and is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35.The suspect is described as having short black hair and tattoos on his inner left forearm. He was last seen wearing red and white sneakers, blue jeans, a black hat, and a black shirt with white stripes down each arm. The suspect was also seen with a large blue blanket wrapped around his shoulders (pictured below).
