For Immediate Release: 18-Dec-2024 @ 3:36 PM
MRU #: SA24R011

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has charged a 42-year-old male with sexual assault in relation to an incident that occurred in central Edmonton earlier this month and have reason to believe there may be other complainants.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, police began investigating a female complainant’s report of a sexual assault by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) at a massage clinic in central Edmonton’s Oliver neighbourhood.

Following an investigation by the EPS, Christian Zeus Cabillan, 42, was charged with one count of sexual assault on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024.

Christian Zeus Cabillan, 42

The Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA), a governing body for the industry, has cancelled Cabillan’s Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) license.

Police believe Cabillan may still be practicing massage therapy in Edmonton and believe he may have offended against other complainants.

“If you have been victimized by Christian Zeus Cabillan, please come forward and report it to police,” says Detective Dustin Brown with the EPS Sexual Assault Section.  “We believe there may be other complainants in Edmonton. As such, our investigators want to ensure that these individuals are connected to resources to support their wellbeing.”

Anyone who believes they have been targeted by Cabillan is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
