For Immediate Release: 19-Dec-2024 @ 2:30 PM
MRU #: 24R092

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating two shootings that took place in east Edmonton earlier this year and are seeking witnesses and information on the suspects in relation to both incidents.

On Feb. 19, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., unknown suspects approached a group of people exiting the Amazone Playzone at Riverview Crossing Shopping Centre in Beverly and shot at one individual multiple times. The male sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries, and several bullets struck nearby residences. The suspects arrived and fled the scene in two vehicles as captured by video surveillance. They were last seen heading west on 118 Avenue. Please see Riverview Crossing videos one and two.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. on April 6, 2024, three unknown suspects approached a residence in the area of 46 Street and 120 Avenue in the community of Beverly and fired at least 12 bullets at a residence before fleeing on foot. There were no injuries reported due to the shooting. Please see 46 St and 120 Ave video.

Detectives continue to investigate these incidents and are asking anyone who may have witnessed either shooting or have information about the identities of the suspects to call police.

“We believe these shootings are targeted and related,” says Acting Staff Sergeant Marc Goudreau with the Edmonton Police Service Investigative Response Team (IRT). “We are thankful that there were no life-threatening injuries related to these events and remain hopeful residents in the area may have information that helps us find those responsible.”

Anyone with information or video footage related to these shootings are asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
