Police seek public's assistance identifying suspect in armed robbery

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect responsible for an armed robbery in west Edmonton.

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., a lone male entered a retail convenience store in the area of 156 Street and 98 Avenue. The suspect approached the clerk holding a handgun, smashed the cash register and filled his blue plastic bag with money, vapes, cigarettes and watches totalling approximately $6,000 before fleeing on foot. No store employees or customers were injured.

The suspect is described as an adult male with a thin build. He wore a black puffy jacket, dark jeans with white inner seams, grey running shoes and black gloves with a lighter colour on the interior palm. He also wore a neon green alien mask during the robbery.
