Police seek public's assistance locating missing senior male

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance locating a missing 87-year-old male.

William Zaplachinski, 87, was last seen on foot in the area of 112 Street and 153 Avenue at 5:43 this morning, Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

He is described as 5’ to 5’3” tall with an average build. He is wearing a black Costco brand jacket, the same Oilers "Western Conference Champs 2024" hat pictured in the second photo below, and the green plaid shirt pictured in the third photo below.

Zaplachinski has dementia and requires daily medication. Family and police are therefore concerned for his welfare.
