Kelly McConnan Wiltshire

Kelly McConnan Wiltshire specializes in the individual treatment of children, adolescents and adults. She has a particular interest in working with mental health concerns related to medical conditions, school struggles, grief and loss, and self-harm.  As well, Kelly frequently works with parents to help them learn new, ultra-simple skills and strategies to support their loved ones in a manner that builds connections while effectively supporting boundaries. Building on the critical backbone of the therapy relationship, Kelly uses a variety of approaches tailored to each individual including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Skills Training, Dialectical Behavioural Skills Training, integrated with art and sandtray techniques.

Prior to becoming a Registered Psychologist in 2016, Kelly worked as a teacher and school counsellor for 9 years. Through this work, she actively and collaboratively works with parents, schools, and/or other medical professionals to provide holistic supports for children and adolescents who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health concerns. She completed her undergraduate psychology work-experience in Adult Corrections, and her graduate practicum at an inner-city junior high. Kelly is a strong believer that children want strong relationships with their parents, and that parents want to be able to help – no matter the complexity of the concern.
