Constable Frank Beevers was the first Edmonton police officer killed in the line of duty.
He worked as a janitor for the Edmonton Police Department. On October 17, 1918, Frank became the victim of a crime while helping the police. His friends in the police department wanted to honour Frank so all Edmontonians would know about the sacrifice he made to keep them safe.
