She was struggling with addiction, and that led to criminal activity such as B&Es, theft of autos, possession of stolen property and minor drug offences. She’s a single mother of two, and she was at risk of having her children taken away. She agreed to work with our IOM detectives and external social agencies. Her dedication to the case plan prepared for her allowed her to keep her children, obtain housing, secure income support, her daughter was able to enroll in high school this year, and she is working to obtain her GED. Because of her outstanding hard work to change her path, she has had no negative police interactions, and she has graduated from IOM.
