To address and educate the citizens of Edmonton on how to spot and avoid common frauds, our Economic Crimes detectives found romance scams and employment scams were prominent in Edmonton throughout 2019. These two fraud topics affected citizens of all demographics, and had high monetary losses. Remember: if it sounds odd, it's probably fraud.
