Support & Resources during COVID-19

With schools now closed due to COVID-19, this may leave some children at greater risk of abuse or harm. The Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P), a national charity dedicated to the personal safety of all children, has provided a list of resources dedicated to supporting families, caregivers and educators during the pandemic.

Additional Online Safety Resources

Children who are at home will potentially have more unrestricted time online. Through its program Cybertip.ca, C3P encourages families to have conversations about internet safety and to work together to implement strategies that ensures everyone’s digital well-being. See our webpage for more C3P online safety resources suited for parents and guardians to use with their children at home.

If at any time you are concerned about the safety and well-being of a child, contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567. In the event of an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
