If you are the victim or survivor of a crime or traumatic event, it can be frightening and disruptive. Remember that everyone deals with grief in different ways.
It is common to experience a range of emotions during stressful situations. It is important to monitor both the physical and emotional health of you and your family and to seek medical and mental health treatment when symptoms arise.
What can you do about it?
Don't keep it inside. One of the most effective coping strategies is to talk it out. Talk to family, friends, relatives, or a trusted community support.
