The Police Information Check Section provides Civil fingerprinting services and can take fingerprints either digitally or using ink.

Digital fingerprints are available if you require a Criminal Record Check from Canada for any purpose. Digital fingerprints can only be transmitted to the RCMP and cannot be sent to agencies outside of Canada for processing. Some digital fingerprint transaction types will require that a photo be taken in our office.

Ink fingerprints are typically completed for individuals who require a criminal record check from a foreign country. To verify if you require fingerprints to get a criminal record check from a foreign country as part of your immigration application please visit the Government of Canada’s website.

If a police check is required from another country, please ensure you attend the Police Information Check Section location with all the necessary forms, identification, photos, and fingerprint cards (if applicable). If you attend our office with a fingerprint card that has a space for a photo, please ensure you bring a recent photo of the appropriate size with you.
